Financial freedom – bullshit or legit requirement for humanity? The idea of financial freedom is an interesting one littered with years of videos, articles and seminars of men and women promising riches instead of rags, wealth instead of riches or at the very least more money than you have now. Financial freedom is a noble cause, something I believe is a human right. But as Dave Chapelle said “Freedom is not a privilege it is a right but it comes with responsibility”. I believe this takes on a new meaning when discussing Bitcoin. Bitcoin is perhaps the best offer of financial freedom yet. It has the stories of people who thought ‘Why not?’ and spent 100 dollars on Bitcoin in 2014 and are now multi-millionaires based on that bet. If you are like me, you didn’t start buying Bitcoin till 2 years ago but I also have a similar story of financial freedom like this even though I haven’t hit a million just yet :).
However, the freedom that we all crave is from what exactly? To answer candidly, freedom from oppression. Oppression of bills, rising prices, unilateral power of central banks and governments who have been proven to be working against our best interests in favour of their own. The 2008 financial crisis and the recent coronavirus response have one thing in common – centralised bodies making poor decisions which have a detrimental impact on you and me. Inflation, rising prices and global uncertainty are all buzzwords at the heart of global discourse around economics and finance right now. The effect this is having on individuals, women, men and families does not get represented in this discourse or in the statistics in the news. The cryptocurrency boom in recent years is being called the biggest transfer of wealth in global history. Wealth is literally being transferred from bank accounts around the world into Bitcoin perhaps never to return to another bank account again. Bitcoin is the promise of immutable money, money that cannot be censored or devalued by centralised governance. Arguably the most breakthrough thing that bitcoin does is allow you to store your money on an USB stick or just by remembering codes in your head.
Taking the leap of faith and educating yourself on this could be the difference between complete autonomy of finance making your money no longer at the mercy of the so-called fat cats currently pulling the strings of global finance. Spiderman’s uncle said it best: “With great power comes great responsibility” – the question is are you truly ready? Can you keep your funds safe away from prying eyes or do you need your hand held by centralised power? Can you elevate above the financial slavery system we have all grown accustomed, to a new paradigm way of thinking, living and spending? If the answer is no, at least you are honest and maybe financial freedom isn’t for you. However, if your anything like me you believe you have no option but to be free. Perhaps you’ve seen that this world has descended into an abyss of capitalism which views people as cattle instead of humans. Maybe you have decided that it is better to do something than await the fate that has been chosen for us via bad faith leadership currently in charge. Lastly if you’re anything like me you are ready to be empowered in order to change your life. If this, is you, learn about Bitcoin and join us. Because together we can create a reality that the world desperately needs.
